About the Event

This 1 day practical workshop will see attendees participate in 5 different workstations. Each station will discuss Anatomy & Physiology along with causes, management, the nurse's role & locating equipment & also demonstrate the management of these emergencies.

The sessions will include the following (*please note sessions are subject to change)

  • Setting up THRIVE & the considerations for PACU management
  • Airway Management in Anaphylaxis
  • Management of a Partial Laryngospasm in a Paediatric Patient in PACU
  • Management of the Bariatric Patient on intubation, extubation & in PACU
  • Reintubation of a patient who experienced a difficult airway on induction

LOCATION: Old Bathurst Hospital Building Education Centre

DATE & TIME: Saturday 8th August from 9am - 4pm

INCLUDED: Learning materials, morning & afternoon tea & lunch along with a certificate of attendance

1100 – 1145 Practical Sessions Round 1

1145 – 1230 Practical Sessions Round 2

1230 – 1300 Lunch

1300 – 1345 Practical Sessions Round 3

1345 – 1430 Practical Sessions Round 4

1430 – 1445 Afternoon Tea

1445 – 1530 Practical Session Round 5

1530 – 1600 Wrap Up, Evaluations & Close
